Microsoft partners with 29 of India’s most visited websites

Microsoft India has announced its latest browser Internet Explorer 9 for consumers in India. Unveiled at TechEd India 2011, Internet Explorer 9 enables a richer, more immersive web experience by enriching consumers’ of the websites that they love to visit.

Microsoft has partnered with 29 of the most popular websites, including BookMyShow, ESPNCricinfo, Flipkart, Kotak Bank, PhotoVault, Naukri, RediffSongBuzz, Reliance Global Call, Sameer Belvalkar’s FrozenFrames.com, Sify, SnapDeal, and Zapak Games, to leverage the power of the whole PC and light up the online experience.

Globally, Microsoft has partnered with over 250 top websites and global brands that have created new experiences to show off the capabilities of Internet Explorer 9. These partners includetop social networks worldwide like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, top commerce sites like Amazon & eBbay and top news sites like CNN, Wall Street Journal and USAToday, to name a few. The collective reach is over one billion visitors or about two thirds of the active people on the Web!

Internet Explorer 9 makes websites and web applications look and perform as if they are part of your computer, using the full capabilities of Windows and hardware so that the websites you visit are fast, responsive, and interactive.
