Microsoft Planner mobile app now available for iPhone and Android

It seems Microsoft is pretty serious about making Microsoft apps available for iPhone and Android. This time, the new Microsoft Planner app is made available for iPhone and Android phones. The Microsoft Planner is an extension to the existing Planner app. The app is useful to view and update the plans on the go.

As mentioned before, the new Microsoft Planner app is an extension to the existing Planner app. Hence, it consists of all the feature the old Planner app has. In addition to those, this app has some exciting new features. In fact, very soon the app will have push notifications, the ability to create new plans from the mobile app and integration with Intune.

To start with, Planner is an app that provides a simple, visual way to organize teamwork. The Microsoft Planner mobile app enables teams to organize and assign tasks, share files, chat about what the team is working on and get updates on the progress. So, it is a quick app that helps organize the teams as well as the work.

To access the Microsoft Planner app, users can use the web app via tasks.office.com. Users can start and build their plans. Those who are already using the Planner app, they can access it through both the web and mobile.

Yes, even users can suggest new features and ideas for the new Microsoft Planner app. For that, users need to visit the UserVoice page and submit their ideas. To use this page and submit the ideas, follow these steps:

  • Create a user account if you want to add a new idea or vote on existing ideas
  • Check out the ideas others have suggested and vote on your favorites (as you start entering an idea, a list of similar ideas may show up)
  • If you have an idea that’s not listed yet, you can submit your own. Please keep your suggestion to 25 words or less and one idea per post.
