Microsoft Security Essentials, the free yet powerful antivirus offering from Microsoft for Windows users, has moved.

Instead of microsoft.com/security_essentials, Microsoft Security Essentials download and information will now be available on the Windows site at windows.microsoft.com.

The new site not only provides you with MSE’s download links for your Windows  operating system, but also provides additional resources like:

  1. Product Information
  2. Support
  3. Information for our partners

Microsoft Security Essentials can be used for free by home-users and small businesses with less than 10 PCs. If have more than 10 PCs, you can check out Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection.

Microsoft Security Essentials may be built for individuals and small businesses, but it’s based on the same technology that Microsoft uses to protect giant businesses.
