Microsoft opens up Insiders Program for Skype

Insider programs seem to be in vogue, after introducing Insiders program for other apps including the Office 365 suite Microsoft has now announced the same for Skype. The Skype Insiders Program works in line with the other Microsoft Insiders program and lets users taste the upcoming features via regular updates. The insiders will be the first ones to test the new features like group video call, 1-1 audio call or maybe the latest emoji. Skype has been lately focussing on bringing in a new set of features all the while maintaining their focus on ease of use and reliability of the platform in whole.

Those of you signing up for the Skype insider can have early access to Skype software, improvements and services updates. Also, you will be able to give early feedback based on the improvements and this will eventually help the Skype developers to fine tune the app in the final version. Apart from these, you will also be able to suggest the other changes and features you would like to see in the future.

If you are interested in the Skype Insider program sign up here and you can also install it with the current version of the Skype. Also, before doing that take a look at the Skype Insider Program Terms.

Microsoft’s Insider programs have been instrumental in helping the company iron out bugs and other shortcomings before proceeding with the final version. For the insiders, they will be able to check out the new features before hand. That said if you are using Skype for a business purpose then think twice before registering for the Insiders program because of the possible bugs.

Microsoft had recently segregated the insider program for Office into fast and slow updates so that users who don’t prefer frequent updates will also participate.
