					<description><![CDATA[On one hand, thank goodness for search startups.  As with any industry dominated by one or two monster players who cannot be beaten, even by all others combined, it&#039;s the startups who nip at such monster players&#039; heels and keep them on their toes; and who also give the monsters some good ideas.

But little more.  There&#039;s an old joke saying that owning a boat is like throwing money into a hole in the ocean.  Starting-up a search engine, these days, is the Internet equivalent.
