Just take a look there. More that just a few people are confused and very much displeased. These people all show pretty good points as to why even though the new group is indeed "better", the old group is not obsolete is is still needed. Most people suggest that the old group style option should still be available as it provides a gathering for "like minded" people or people who share a common interest. the description visibility is also very important. Not every group is going to be your soccer team but there could be a group for people who are soccer athletes the old group layout would suit this better. some one made a great point "They need the old groups for interest groups etc....and the new groups for chat"

PLEASE LOOK A THESE AND MAKE AMPLE CONSIDERATION

Although certain features for the new group layouts (for example, the group chat) are both interesting and beneficial, the previous layout was superior in terms of visual appeal, availability of information, organisation, and accountability.

Under the new layout, significant amounts of space are dedicated to tracks of information that are already available from the homepage. This is at the cost of larger group images, clear group descriptions, and a clear distinction between one aspect of the website and another.

Additionally, users may now be "added" to groups, instead of invited. This damages the sense of autonomy in Facebook users and is contrary to their freedom of association, as they are no longer the primary actor over what they connect with. Admittedly, Facebook users are still able to leave groups, but why must reactionary disassociation be a necessary condition in order to properly define oneself?
