2.2 million customers each paying at least $25+ a year for a 1 pc license= 55+ million dollars a year, your engineers must be paid very well.
I just purchased a 5 pc lifetime license of Ruiwares WinAntiRansom Plus for a one time charge of $23 (with a discount coupon) all my updates and upgrades are good for life. I guess their engineers are starving but yet they can still put out just as good or even better product than Malwarebytes who may I add had to purchase CryptoMonitor just to get the code.
Not being controversial, just using common sense and urging everyone else to do so.

I’m glad you were able to get a lifetime license. I certainly don’t think charging $25/year is corporate greed. We have 350 engineers that need to feed their families, if you do the math on a lifetime license, you’d understand that I’d be putting my engineers out of jobs instead of in them. Those that bought a lifetime license were grandfathered in, we made that commitment to our users who supported us early on. If you think we have left others “in the rain” then I welcome them paying $100+ for a Symantec subscription. No need to get controversial, we help plenty of users each and everyday, those that would like to support us can, those that choose to not promote Malwarebytes are friends too!

Marcin, please don’t use a play on words, even if it’s bundled with other products one will STILL be paying for it, it will be by no means “free”. It’s only free during beta testing until Malwarebytes gets the bugs out after that new customers will have to pay for whatever product you are bundling it with, so essentially it will not be free.
As for Malwarebytes licensing, I don’t have a problem with it, my license is a lifetime license, luckily I got in on it before the greed at Malwarebytes set in, but I know others that have been left out in the rain by Malwarebytes and new customers that now must pay yearly because Malwarebytes is more concerned with their bottom line and not their end users. For this reason I do not promote Malwarebytes and never will.

Hi Ed, we grandfathered in ANY lifetime licenses that were legitimate. They are still lifetime licenses and continue to be.

They changed their whole licensing structure from lifetime licenses to charging a yearly license …… essentially screwing their customers.

Neither will Malwarebytes Anti-Ransom be after beta, the ONLY reason it is free at the moment is because it is in the beta stage, after that they will start charging for it ….. more than likely on a yearly structure and for only 1 pc, who wants to pay for software over and over and over? WinAntiRansom from the makers of Winpatrol offers a LIFETIME 5 pc license and has been recently crowned King of Anti-Ransom software by an independent test by Cruelsister of Malwaretips. Really, WinAntiRansom is just better software, hands down, made by a company that is more intersted in it’s end users and not just their bottom line.

the messed up situation with their licensing system about a year ago, they basically reset their whole licensing system and removed every single license and screwed everyone who paid for their software. they said they gonna be GENEROUS and provide 1 year license to everyone including people with Lifetime license like me. it was unacceptable.

Just curious. What did they do?
