Otherwise you are correct, the option introduced in windows phone 8.1 to run apps from the SD card by default takes care of phones with smaller flash sizes.]]></description>

Does it matter if a large proportion or even the whole of the phone&#039;s storage is taken up with the OS if in addition there is a Memory Card with many GBs of additional storage available? A small handful of apps cannot be run from the Card, not many.  I only ask.]]></description>

See the Xperia M4 Aqua 8gb for a fine example. 8gb total, 3gb free from factory and once the google apps are updated, between 1.2-1.7 gb free.Even IOS won&#039;t run on 8gb any more. This is a non story. As mobile OS&#039;s have progressed, they have added more functionality and they get bigger.]]></description>
