...bit the headline was, simply, &quot;Users abandon Tumblr in droves now that Yahoo owns it.&quot;  Or maybe it was &quot;now that Yahoo bought it&quot; or something like that.

That sounds, in any case, about right to me.  Yahoo should have gone out of business years ago.  Microsoft, obviously, has saved it; though precisely WHY has never been entirely clear.
