Microsoft introduces new Certification for Azure on Linux

Microsoft has announced the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Linux on Azure Junction. The non-profit organization has been created in tandem with the Linux foundation and will cater for the mass innovation needs thanks to its open source approach, further it also signifies a new initiative concerned with Microsoft and the open source community.

Microsoft Certification for Azure on Linux

Any individual passing the Microsoft Exam 70-533 and the Linux Foundation certified System Administrator (LFCS) will be awarded the certification from Microsoft. The certification is already available starting from Dec 9 2015.

In a nutshell both the Linux Administration and the Microsoft Azure implementation exams will gauge the candidatures ability to design, implement and maintain complex cloud-enabled Linux solutions which will further help in leveraging the Microsoft Azures extensive features and capabilities.

Companies intend to add value to their current environments made up of diverse set of vendors and technologies. Azure will be advantageous as it is an open and flexible platform with a collection of building blocks eventually helping customers in realizing maximum value for their investments when it comes to cloud.

These new certifications are a tell-tale sign that decision makers in these industries are eagerly looking out for domain experts in Linux administration and someone who is familiar with the cloud-native technology. The certification segregates the administrator’s skills by enabling an objective measurement of the skills that will help Linux solutions in cloud flourish.
