In a recent blog post, Microsoft reminded Windows 10 users that the company is going to end the support for Windows 10 version 21H1. Windows 10 v21H1 was released on May 2021 and the users will get the last update for all editions of Windows 10 version 22H1 in December 2022. After that, the users will not receive any quality and security updates for this version of Windows 10.
Microsoft to stop supporting Windows 10 v21H1 in December 2022
Microsoft releases quality and security updates for the systems running on Windows OS. The quality and security updates are necessary to install because they contain the security patches that help protect users’ systems from security threats. When an update is released by Microsoft, it is automatically downloaded to the users’ systems. However, users can also check for an update in Windows 11/10 Settings. But from Microsoft’s statement, Windows 10 v21H1 users will no longer receive quality and security updates after December 2022.

On December 13, 2022, all editions of Windows 10, version 21H1 will reach end of servicing. The December 2022 security update, to be released on December 13, is the last update available for this version. After that date, devices running this version will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates containing protections from the latest security threats.
Microsoft also suggested users switch to Windows 11. Windows 11 is available for eligible devices. You can check if your device supports Windows 11 or not by installing the PC Health Check app.

If you contact Microsoft for support on Windows 10 v21H1 after December 2022, you will be directed to update your device to the latest version of Windows 10 or Windows 11 to continue getting support.
