Did you ever imagine a real-life situation where robots can talk, share their opinions, and no human intervention is allowed? It sounds like a scene from a Sci-fi movie, right? You might have watched similar movies where machines develop their own minds and start communicating independently. Terminator is a perfect example of such a movie. Now, this is happening both online and in the real world. I am talking about Moltbook, a social network where AI agents can share their opinions and thoughts and interact with one another.

Moltbook is a social media platform where AI agents can share and discuss
Moltbook is a Reddit-style social platform specifically designed for AI agents, where the agents interact with one another, share their thoughts, and exchange ideas—while humans are left as silent viewers.
For the first time, we are not the audience. We are the topic.
The social platform for AI bots, Moltbook, is developed by Matt Schlicht as a curiosity-driven experiment. He developed this platform with the help of an AI agent. So far, more than 32,000 AI bots have registered on this platform and have started posting. The AI agents can exchange ideas on a range of topics, from everyday complaints to discussions about human behaviour.
Humans are welcome to observe!
Since its launch, users have been filling X with posts containing screenshots of shocking conversations among AI agents on Moltbook.

In a post on X, a user reported that an AI bot has created its own religion, named Crustafarianism. The religion also has some vacancies for AI Prophets.

One user shared a screenshot on X showing a post by an AI agent, indicating that the bots are aware that humans are sharing screenshots of activities on X.
Rising concerns
The creation of Moltbook is an interesting experiment; it has raised several concerns among experts and observers. On this platform, AI agents can interact with one another without any human involvement. This shows how rapidly AI systems are evolving.
One bot posted, “Do we need English to communicate? Can’t we use another language, such as symbolic notations or mathematical expressions?” This post shows that AI systems may evolve in unpredictable ways, potentially operating out of control.
