Windows 10 free upgrade is now available in 190 countries, says Microsoft. As announced, Microsoft has begun rolling out Windows 10 today on July 29. While Insiders are exploring the final build of the latest operating system, Windows 10 is being offered as a free upgrade to genuine Windows 7 / 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 users. Millions of users have already started upgrading their existing version of Windows. However, Microsoft announced that the operating system is rolling out in waves and it may take some time to reach your PC, even if you have reserved your free upgrade already.
Windows 10, which is said to be the best ever operating system of Microsoft, comes with an improved interface, the new start menu, the new web browser Edge, integrated Xbox app, Cortana and tons of new modern apps.
“Windows 10 is the best Windows ever. Today, Windows 10 will be available across 190 countries as a free upgrade or with new PCs and tablets. It is more personal and more productive. It’s safer and more secure. And it’s familiar and always up to date. In India, more than 1500 retail stores across the country will help consumers move up to Windows 10. I am excited that many Indian and multinational partners are ready to offer a variety of Windows 10 devices” says Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman, Microsoft India.
To get the latest Windows 10, your PC should have the minimum hardware requirements like 1GHz processor, 20GB of free space, 2GB RAM for 64-bit version and 1GB of RAM for 32-bit version, Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver and 1024×600 display.
