The DragonBoard 410c from Qualcomm has been available for quite some time and is the core OS that powers the Windows IoT platform on Dragonboard. Interestingly the Windows 10 IoT is the smallest Windows 10 version that uses the Windows 10 common core architecture. What this eventually does is that it helps users build low-cost devices with limited resources.
Windows 10 IoT Core for DragonBoard
In essence, the DragonBoard is the first development board that is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 and it comes baked in with features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, and GPS. The board is of the size of credit card and this makes it ideal for IoT products. Starting now the Windows 10 IoT Core for DragonBoard is available for download and can be installed on Windows 10 build 10240 and up. Windows 10 IoT Core for MinnowBoard MAX
Minnowboard Max is similar to DragonBoard and can be powered by the Windows IoT platform. The MinnowBoard Max is a 64-bit Intel Atom E38xx series SoC which comes along with Integrated Intel HD graphics and hardware-accelerated drivers for Linux OS. On the memory front, the board offers 8MB SPI flash, DDR3 RAM along with microSD card slot. The I/O options on the MinnowBoard Max includes USB 3.0 x1x, USB 2.0 X1, Ethernet RJ-45 connector and FTDI cable for serial debugging. The power for the board is via a 5V DC that is sold separately.

Ever since Microsoft has released the Windows 10 for multiple single-board computers Windows has become one of the alternatives for an open source operating system like Raspbian.
