Acer is all set with its new range of Windows 10 PCs idea for ideal for students, businesses and families. The new portfolio includes Acer Switch V 10, Acer Switch One 10, and the TravelMate P2 Series. Starting with a price tag of $199, these new Acer PCs boast the built-in fingerprint reader which lets users sign into their PC using Windows Hello.
Acer Switch V 10
Priced at $249, the new Acer Switch V10 is a detachable two in one laptop. The features like touchscreen, high-resolution output and fast data transfer and long battery life make it a suitable laptop for students. Other salient features of this Acer PC include reversible USB Type-C port, 10.1” display with IPS technology, and dual camera. Been designed for families, Acer Switch 10 comes in different colors like white, black, red and two shades of blue. Its magnetic design with no hinge latch makes it a decent looking laptop ideal for students and families. It will be made available later this year in North America.
Acer Switch One 10
This is again a detachable and convertible laptop from Acer which comes with a multi-touch HD screen, built-in fingerprint reader, up to 8 hours of battery life, Precision Touchpad, and dual camera. Unlike the Acer Switch V10, this laptop comes only in dark metallic grey color. It is categorized under the category of budget laptops of Acer and is priced at $199. The latch less hinge design makes it easily detachable laptop. The Switch One 10 will reportedly be available for sale in North America in July.
TravelMate P2 Series
Powered by the Intel 6th gen Core CPU, NVIDIA GeForce 940 graphics this new laptop from Acer comes in two variants TravelMate P249 and TravelMate P259 with 14” and 15.6” inch screen respectively. Besides the common feature fingerprint reader, TravelMate P2 series of Acer laptop boast Full HD backlit LED displays and Trusted Platform Module (TPM2.0) and Acer ProShield providing an additional security. This series of two laptops will be available for sale in North America later this year starting at $599.
While all leading tech companies are waiting for Computex, the trade show in Tapei to reveal their latest machines, Acer decided to reveal its new range a week before.
