ASUS announces innovative & stylish PC & Windows 8 optimized Mouse

At Computex in Taipei, ASUS announced Vivo PC and Vivo Mouse, two new devices, bringing innovative and artistic designs to home entertainment. Vivo PC is a compact desktop PC, so compact that its footprint is smaller than a sheet of A4 paper. It’s just 56mm tall and can easily fit into smallest of places be it your home office or living room. It has a stylish spun metal finish. Another great feature is its expandability, despite its compactness. It has a sliding case cover which gives access to two internal memory slots and drive bay. The bay can accommodate 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA 6Gbit/s hard drives.



The compact VivoPC delivers incredible sound quality with SonicMaster audio technology with external speakers and 802.11ac Wi-Fi for accelerated connectivity for smooth HD video streaming and seamless web browsing.

Coming to the specifications, Vivo PC has –

  • Intel processor with Intel HD integrated graphics
  • It has 2x USB 3.0 & 4x USB 2.0 ports
  • Dimensions are 190 x 190 x 56.2mm
  • supports 3.5/2.5 inch SATA6Gb/s HHD/SSD
  • 802.11ac Wi-Fi


ASUS Vivo Mouse

The ASUS VivoMouse is a totally new kind of pointing device, it’s the world’s first wireless mouse with an integrated multi-touch touchpad for full desktop and handheld control for more casual PC control. It fits comfortably in the hand to be used as a standard optical mouse. While its top surface incorporates a large circular touchpad with full support for Windows 8 multi-touch gestures. So this can be used with Windows 8 PCs that lack a multi-touch display.

Being wireless also makes it a perfect peripheral for a living room PC. It is made of anti-slip plastic. Some of its specifications are –

  • 1200 dpi optical sensor
  • 2.4GHz RF wireless connection
  • 3-point multi-touch touchpad
  • Its dimensions are 135 x 78 x 25.5 mm

Both products use premium textured surface materials, for better home entertainment experiences. ASUS VivoMouse and VivoPC will be available in Q3 2013. Its pricing however, has not been announced yet.
