As the date for Anniversary Update release nears, Microsoft is providing new builds for Windows Insiders at a quicker pace. Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 14393 for both PC and Mobile to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring.
This build has lots of fixes and improvements. Some of the main ones are:
Improvements and fixes in Windows 10 Build 14393 for PC:
- Issue of mounting iPods as USB mass-storage device is fixed now.
- Reliability of Start, Cortana and Action Center is improved.
Improvements and fixes in Build 14393 for Mobile:
- Issue of rapid battery drain when Visual Voicemail syncs voicemail messages in Dual SIM devices like Lumia 950 XL is fixed.
- Battery drain issue in older devices like Lumia 535,640,735,830, 930 and icon is also fixed.
- Voice Recorder not showing up consistently as an option in call recording is fixed. One has to update the app to version 10.1607.1931.0 to fix this issue.
- Several issues related to dual SIM devices is fixed.
Known issues for PC and Mobile:
There are some known issues too that are not yet resolved.
- Due to camera driver issue, some Surface books and Surface Pro 4 may get Bluescreen. An updated driver is soon going to rollout to fix this issue.
- In some Mobile, Wi-Fi issue is still under investigation.
- Turning Bluetooth off may sometimes freeze, crash or reset.
- Wallet users prompted for PIN twice when using tap to pay from a locked phone.
