China has confirmed that it had renewed the Chinese operating license of Google Inc, for a period of one more year, thereby confirming the announcement made by the Google, earlier.

Guxiang, a company that operates Google’s websites in China, was included in a list of more than 200 companies that had their licenses renewed, which was posted on the ministry’s website.
China’s decision to allow Google to continue operating in China apparently resolves a months-long censorship dispute that had threatened the U.S. company’s future in the world’s top Internet market by users
Earlier, the renewal was in doubt because Google was redirecting its Chinese users to its unfiltered search engine site in Hong Kong however, Google did the trick, they added a small link on Google.cn on clicking which a user would now go to the Hong Kong site.
China is very important in Google’s point of view because the country is the most populated one throughout the world !This is therefor a very important breakthrough for Google. This license will be subjected to a yearly renewal.

“We look forward to continuing to provide Web search and local products to our users in China ”
Google and China, both seem to be happy with the decisions they have taken, however, Chinese officials may still block access to Google’s Hong Kong site, this is not an issue as of now!
