Dell Computers Compatible with Creators Update
Dell has updated all its popular laptop and desktop series to Windows 10 Creators Update. There are two methods to check the compatibility of your Dell computer model.
The first option involves using the Dell Service Tag Detect Tool. Available on the official Dell website, this tool can help you check the update by entering your service tag. The second option involves checking it through your system BIOS. For this, restart your computer and tap the F2 key repeatedly at the Dell logo screen. The first page of the BIOS will show the specific computer model.
Most of the Alienware, Inspiron, XPS, Vostro, Latitude and OptiPlex notebooks, Precision desktops, tablets, and Embedded Box PCs will be updated to Creators Update. To check the entire list, click here.
HP Computers Compatible with Creators Update
HP has updated all its popular laptop and desktop series to Windows 10 Creators Update. It also mentions that most computers sold before August 2013 might be insufficient in the hardware and software aspect to be compatible with this new update. However, if you wish to check compatibility of an older device, HP has the complete list on their site.
Talking about newer computers, you need to know the product model/series of your device to determine if it has been tested for use with Windows 10. HP has updated most of its notebooks, desktops, all-in-one PCs and business devices to Build 1703.
