Google has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI) utility, which allows users to convert articles and web pages into short video clips in just a matter of seconds. Google’s new AI tool has a pretty straight forward name – URL2Video.
Google launches URL2Video Tool
The purpose of this tool is to make things easier for content creators. Let’s say, you want to create a short video based on an interesting article you have just read on the Internet. You don’t necessarily need to have the video creation and editing skills to get the job done.
As the name suggests, all you need to do is simply enter the URL of an article that you are looking to convert into a video clip, and the tool will take care of the rest of the things. And voila, you have a video ready on your computer!
Even though the concept sounds interesting, there are a lot of things that happen in the background when compiling all the relevant details and giving the video a final touch-up.
According to researchers who have come up with this tool, the tool is all about harnessing an automatic approach without any manual human intervention.
When it comes to AI-generated videos, one of the major goals is to achieve the best possible end result.
Researchers at Google’s AI division have promised that the system takes care of the necessary design elements such as fonts, colors, and layouts. Interestingly, the tool will somehow extract design styles. This is primarily where AI will come in handy.
“One creative process in particular, video production, can especially benefit from such tools, as it requires a series of decisions about what content is best suited to a target audience, how to position the available assets within the field of view, and what temporal arrangement will yield the most compelling narrative,” Google said.
