The MateBook, Huawei’s a Windows 10 laptop cum tablet was announced yesterday, a day before World Mobile Congress. The Chinese firm Huawei had been making Android based tablet so far and this is the first ever Windows device launched by the company. The MateBook comes with a starting price tag of $699.

While the MateBook is much thinner and lighter than Microsoft’s Surface Pro, its features and specifications are quite similar. Just 6.9mm thick this new Windows 10 device weighs just 640 grams
Designed specifically for the laptop lovers, this 2-in-1 device from Huawei features a 12in (30.5cm) display and can be converted into a laptop by clipping it into an add-on keyboard. Premium metal framework and curved edges make it a magnificent device.
Huawei’s first desktop device, MateBook comes with the productivity tools like the personal digital assistant Cortana and Microsoft Edge, Windows Hello and a finger print reader.
Powered with a 6th Gen Intel Core M Processor, this device comes in two different 4GB model and 8 GB model with a 512 solid state storage drive.
It supports quick charge and charges via USB Type C Cord. Other salient features include an HDMI port, a VGA display port, and an Ethernet jack.
As per the official Windows blog Huawei MateBook will be made available in Asia, Europe and the U.S in coming few months.
