Microsoft, in association with Startup Weekend and DEMO, has announced the launch of the Windows Startup Challenge. The initiative has been launched with the idea of promoting the development of apps and accelerating their progress from prototype to development to launch.
This challenge will test your startup’s ability to prototype a Windows Store app, quickly iterate to design, and bring your app to life. The Competition Sign-Up Period begins on 00:01 Greenwich Mean Time (“GMT”) on January 9th, 2013 and ends on 23:59 GMT January 29th, 2013
If you have a Windows Store app idea, apply to compete by January 29th for a chance to get publicity, expert help and mentorship, connections to investors and a free trip to San Francisco to unveil your app at DEMO Mobile on April 17th, 2013 in front of top tier investors, VCs and press.
If you are 18 years of age or older, you may take part in this challenge. The last date for entering is January 29, 2013. The winning team will receive a free trip to San Francisco to launch at DEMO Mobile on April 17th, 2013.
