Microsoft has named Pavan Davuluri as the new chief for the Windows and Surface division in the company. Earlier, he used to handle Surface silicon and device work. Microsoft has now made him chief of Windows and Surface.

Pavan Davuluri now leads the Windows and Surface divisions at Microsoft. He has worked for 23 years at Microsoft and played a crucial role in working with Qualcomm and AMD to create custom processors for Surface devices.
Mikhail Parakhin, an alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology, used to take care of the Windows division and he is said to be looking at new roles in Microsoft now. The recent developments in the Micorosft are due to the new CEO of the AI team, Mustafa Suleyman who came from Google DeepMind. The Windows team will now work closely with the AI team to find interesting areas of potential overlap for the new leaders to navigate. Microsoft AI team now looks after the Edge browser which is an important part of Windows experience.
We have to look forward and see what changes Pavan Davuluri along with the new AI team will bring to Windows. Several new AI features are expected, but we will have to wait and see to experience the actual changes.
