Microsoft announces new Samsung integrations
In his recent blog post, Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Modern Life, Search & Devices at Microsoft wrote:
“Since we announced our long-term partnership last year, we have been working closely to co-engineer experiences that help you move seamlessly between your devices and your life. Today, we share new integrations that will make this even easier.”
Samsung has announced what it describes as a seamless connection between Windows 10 PC and Samsung mobile. Microsoft’s Your Phone app and Link to Windows integration on select Samsung devices.
Microsoft already integrates its Your Phone app and Link to Windows into select Samsung mobile devices, providing Samsung users with the ability to answer calls, check notifications, see photos and messages from their Windows 10 PC. This integration is taking a new shape.
Now, Microsoft is providing Samsung Galaxy Note20 users with the ability to access and interact with their favorite mobile apps directly on their Windows 10 PC, courtesy of the Your Phone app.

Here’s how it works:
When you launch an app from Samsung phone in Windows 10, it will open in a separate window. It will allow Windows 10 and Samsung users to multi-task. For faster access, users can easily pin their Samsung phone’s apps to their Windows 10 taskbar or Start menu. Later this year, Windows 10 will allow Samsung Galaxy Note20 users to run multiple apps side by side.
Integrating Microsoft 365 apps
As part of Microsoft and Samsung’s strategy for cross-platform integration, Samsung Notes data will soon sync automatically with OneNote feed in Outlook on the web or OneNote as an image. Furthermore, users can also sync Samsung Galaxy Note20 reminders to your Windows 10 PC across Microsoft To-Do, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
Plus, Outlook will now be available on Samsung Galaxy watches as a native email app. This alliance further incorporates benefits related to Microsoft OneDrive and Xbox Game Pass.
