Microsoft launches, to support youth microprojects

Microsoft YouthSpark has launched Give for Youth program in partnership with GlobalGiving. The program is designed to help you fund & follow the dreams of young people around the world.

It is a giving site that lets donors fund micro-projects that empower youth all around the world and lets you support specific youth microprojects of nonprofits and social enterprises around the world.

A microproject is a one-time fund raising effort to help achieve a specific activity or outcome. It can benefit specific people or an activity. The funding required is small typically between  $250 to $10,000. These microprojects are meant to support youth (ages 13-25) in their quest to obtain the tools and resources they need to find a job, continue their education and training, or start a business or social venture.

GlobalGiving is partnering with Microsoft to provide Microsoft employees and the general public with a portal, Give for Youth, for making direct contributions to microprojects all over the world.
