Microsoft launches Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL in India

Microsoft has launched Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL Smartphones  in India with price tags of 11,999 INR and 15,799 INR respectively. The two new Smartphones were announced at Mobile World Congress earlier this year. Both these Smartphones will be available for sale right away.

Lumia 640 being Flipkart exclusive will be available only on Flipkart, while Lumia 640 XL will be available everywhere. Lumia 640 XL which is priced at 15,799 INR is slightly superior to LUMIA 640 in terms of features and specifications.Lumia 640 XL

Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL now in India

Lumia 640 which said to be successor of Lumia 635 sports a beautiful 5 inch HD display protected by a corning Gorilla Glass 3 while Lumia XL boasts a bigger 5.7 inch HD display. Lumia 640 comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera and 0.9 megapixel front facing camera, while Lumia XL has an amazing 13 megapixel rear camera and 1 megapixel front facing camera. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor Lumia 640 comes with 1GB of RAM and a 2,500 mAh battery, while Lumia 640 XL comes with a 3,000 mAh battery.

Both Smartphones are shipping with the Lumina Denim update which brings some advanced features like one-swipe Action Center, Live Folders, and Word Flow. Both Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL are dual-SIM handsets and get 8GB onboard storage which is further expandable to 128 GB. The additional connectivty options include 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.

Earlier this year Microsoft announced that Lumia 640 XL will hit the market in matte cyan, orange and black, as well as both matte and glossy white color and Lumia 640 will be available in glossy cyan, orange and white, as well as matte black.

Both the new Lumia handsets run Windows Phone 8.1 which will soon be updated to Windows 10 allowing you to enjoy the latest features like Spartan browser, Cortana personal assistance etc. Additionally, Microsoft is offering 1TB of One Drive storage along with a one-year personal subscription to Office 365.
