In its latest bid to evolve and fit a changing marketplace, Microsoft announced that its gaming console – Xbox One will be updated to include backwards compatibility for multiple Xbox 360 games. Yes, the company has announced a whopping 104 Xbox One backward compatibility games titles, likely to be available after Nov. 12 when the New Xbox Experience is released.

Some of the titles that find a mention include heavy hitters like Gears of War, Assassin’s Creed II, Mass Effect, Fallout 3 and Borderlands. Apart from the above, it has been made clear that more Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be added to the backwards compatibility list of games after Nov. 12.
It was expected, the list of initial 100 Xbox One backwards-compatible games title would be revealed first on November 9 however, when the list was indeed revealed, it was a bit longer than expected. The list includes some of the platform’s most popular games, including Fallout 3, Assassin’s Creed 2, Gears of War and Mass Effect. One feature worth mentioning, all the backward compatible 360 games will be emulated on the Xbox One, so players will have the advantage of some additional features while playing. Microsoft also makes it clear that it will release more of such backwards-compatible games on a regular basis and gamers would be encouraged to give Microsoft feedback on titles they would like to see in the future.
