We have always said that we will adjust our strategy, and open additional stores to deliver the choice, value and service our Microsoft customers have come to expect, says Jonathan Adashek General Manager, Communications and Strategy, Sales & Marketing Services Group, Microsoft.

Therefore, we’re thrilled to ring in the New Year by announcing the locations of our first new store locations for 2013, he continued:

  • Beachwood – Beachwood Place, Ohio
  • San Antonio- The Shops at La Cantera, Texas
  • Miami- Dadeland Mall, Fla.

Year 2012 has been a big year for Microsoft having released new OS Windows 8, Windows 8 Phone Software, Windows RT Surface tablet, upgraded Xbox Interface and 51 specialty stores.

The basic strategy behind opening the six new Microsoft stores is to help the customers getting better exposure to the latest Microsoft products like Windows Phone devices and Surface tablets.

Microsoft is now moving its business beyond software into hardware. It sure looks like Microsoft is kind of mimicking Apple’s strategy by opening new retail as well and specialty stores worldwide. Company will reportedly continue expanding its retail coverage by planning more of such stores in future.
