Advancing its vision towards being a world-class development center and source of innovation for billion users, Microsoft launched a new India Development Center (IDC) in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Microsoft opens a new engineering hub in India
Serving as a premier facility for driving innovation, the new engineering hub will be Microsoft’s third Development Center in India, earlier 2 being in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The development center will be built as a premier facility for driving cutting edge innovation. It will also attract world-class engineering talent and open new opportunities for engineers in India.

We have built a strong engineering presence in India over the past two decades and we are excited to be expanding to Noida. This represents a critical expansion of our ability to attract world-class technology talent. In addition to the above, the IDC in NOIDA will house Mixer, Microsoft’s live streaming gaming platform team. This will make the new facility the first center to host the gaming team outside the company headquarters, based in Redmond.

IDC houses three technology groups along with core engineering services that carry out some of the remarkable and most innovative work happening across Microsoft.
