Users of Microsoft Outlook are facing several problems after applying the recent June 2017 updates. Users of Outlook 2016/2013/2010/2007 have been affected by these issues. Microsoft has acknowledged the problems and suggested that users make use of these workarounds till the issue is fixed finally.

Outlook Attachment Issue
This issue affects mainly two versions of Outlook – Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010. Whenever a user attempted to open an attachment in an email, contact, or task formatted as Rich Text he received the following error:
“The program used to create this object is Outlook. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install Outlook or ensure that any dialog boxes in Outlook are closed”.
To mitigate this, ensure that any dialog boxes in Outlook are closed.
Search issue
It appears when a user tries to search something in Outlook and receives the following error – Something went wrong, and your search couldn’t be completed., or Search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed. This issue persists in all Outlook versions on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10. To solve this, disable Windows Desktop Search Service for Outlook.
Print Issue
When you print a specific iframe or frame in a web page, the print output may be blank, or text is printed that displays the following error.
404 – Not Found
Unfortunately, there appears to be no solution in sight for this problem as of now.
Failure of iCloud fails to load properly in Outlook 2007
Sometimes, Windows users while accessing Calendar, Contacts, or Tasks in Outlook 2007 are greeted with the following error:
“The set of folders cannot be opened. MAPI was unable to load the information service C:\PROGRA~2\COMMON~1\Apple\Internet Services\APLZOD.dll. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured.”
To avoid the recurrence of this, disable loading of unregistered MAPI services.
One or more objects in this file have been disabled due to your policy settings’ error
Please note that if you have set ShowLevel1Attach to allow Outlook to display Level 1 attachments, you may see the error. To solve this, change the email format to HTML, or Text format. Also, try saving the attachments to your computer and open them from the saved location.
Users have also reported facing the following issues:
- If you get the Opening Mail Attachment warning, and you’re sure the attachment was sent from a trusted source, proceed to Open or Save the attachment.
- If you set ShowLevel1Attach to allow Outlook to display Level 1 attachments, you may see the error: One or more objects in this file have been disabled due to your policy settings.
- When you use a custom form that you have created for Outlook, you see the following two symptoms: VBScript does not run, You get a malicious code warning.
