The team Microsoft Garage at Microsoft Corporation has recently come up with a new and unconventional app, Home Team for Windows Phone. You can now have a complete local directory right in your phone. With Home Team, the users can search for the local services and professionals such as car dealers, electricians and more.

The Home Team app is more like a local directory which contains the contact details of service providers in your locality. It enlists the contact details of the local service providers on the basis of word of mouth recommendations.
As the name suggests, the app helps you creating a Home Team with the contact details of required service providers in your vicinity, so that you do not need to dig in your contact list every time you need a service done at your home. For example you can create your Home Team with the service providers like plumbers, gardeners, auto mechanic, hair stylists, fishmonger etc.
The app also allows users to connect with their family and friends directly to get the recommendations. Furthermore, the app also let you join a work network via Facebook and share your recommendations for friends.
The app is designed with a beautiful and user friendly interface and can be used as a great alternative to your local directory.
Unlike the other apps released by Microsoft Garage, Home Team is released exclusively for Windows Phones and there are no official words about releasing it on other platforms for now.
