Microsoft releases Infographic tracking Evolution of the IT Pro

Computing has evolved exponentially in recent years and so has the computing power. Those responsible for this evolution are the IT professionals. They have played an important role in the development of computing throughout. If PC computing is alive and well today, making the lives of billions easy, it’s certainly because of these professionals.

These individuals build, fix, manage, secure and update the infrastructure regularly. In 1980 for a Seagate 5MB hard-disk drive, you had to plunk down $1500 whereas today you can get a 256GB SSD for far less. Over the years, the role of the IT worker too has changed than what it was at the start of the personal computer era of the 1970s.

Infographic Tracking Evolution of the IT Pro

Microsoft’s newly released Infographic emphasizes the same. It explains the role of IT pros always, continue to adapt and evolve.  For instance, the smartphone you use daily today is more powerful than the computer that supported the Apollo mission to the moon. That same smart phone uses many applications running in cloud data centers designed, built, secured, and operated by IT Professionals.

The infographic highlights some inventions and innovations over the past decades.

We hope you enjoy the Infographic and some of the amazing inventions and innovations over the past decades.
