Microsoft has rolled out the second batch of its updates for Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book this month which includes firmware upgrades, important fixes and many new features. Aimed at improving the performance and stability of the devices, these updates, for now, are available only for the devices with Creators Update installed.
Brandon Records from Microsoft said in the blog post, “Today we’ve released updated drivers for Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 Creators Update. These include new driver updates [that] improve video playback on installed apps while offline.”
The updates bring a better and improved video playback and better speech recognition with Intel Smart Sound Technology updates, Realtek High Definition Audio update and Audio Controller update.
Updates for Surface Book:

If you own any of these machines and have already installed the Creators Update, you can download the latest updates.
- Open Settings-> Update & Securityà Windows Update-> Check for Update.
- Check for the latest available update and install it on your system.
The updates for Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 are available at the Surface Book Drivers and Firmware Page and Surface Pro 4 Drivers and Firmware Page in the Microsoft Download Center in MSI and ZIP format.
