Microsoft updates Next Lock Screen app for Android

Microsoft recently updated its Next Lock Screen app for Android devices. This 6.4M sized app is updated to its next version v1.3.9664 and promises to deliver its users a refreshed experience. This new update supports all the devices running Android 4.0+ and comes along with some performance based enhancements and novel features.

Next Lock Screen, a Microsoft Garage Project, was designed to enable its users to have a glance at their calendar, emails, text messages, & missed calls; connect to a conference call, and more with a single tap without unlocking their devices. One of the interesting feature of this app makes the background of your lock screen dynamic throughout the day based on change in your location. This time saver lock screen app launches quickly and was initially built for the busy professionals.

What’s new:

  • You can check the weather information based on your location.
  • Allows you to select your home wallpaper as the wallpaper for your lock screen.
  • Comes with the ability to hide the system status bar.
  • Better integration with the default device lock on Samsung devices running KitKat.
