After getting a positive response and good feedback from users on User Voice, Team Visual Studio has now laid down a timeline to show how and when new features will be introduced in Visual Studio 2015. The Visual Studio 2015 Features Timeline displays some of the very important features the team is working, with the tentative time of release. You can also view the build numbers for each version.
Visual Studio 2015 Features Timeline
The newly added ‘upcoming features timeline’ gives you an idea of what the team is currently working on what VS features you can expect in the near future. The timeline doesn’t show the exact date of releasing the feature, but gives a list of expected features in the year 2015. As posted on the official blog, the Visual Studio team will keep adding the features in the list according to the latest updates and releases.
You can see some of the features listed as TBD which means that the release time of the feature is still to be decided or confirmed. The features timeline is added just to give you a tentative idea of what company is working or planning on. The list however is not 100% definite and can be changed or updated time to time.
The official blog post also states that some of the features from the list might also get cancelled if needed – although, the VS team will send a notification before cancelling or deleting any feature from the timeline.
