Nokia literally managed to blow the lid off the sky and draw long faces in Cupertino and Mountain View, as they officially launched their next flagship smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 920 at their press event earlier today, before talking about Nokia Lumia 820.
The new Nokia Lumia 920 runs on the Windows Phone 8 OS and is considered to be the successor to the popular Lumia 900 device. When Stephen Elop opened with “We shared a vision with Microsoft that we could create a new smartphone experience”, the excitement rose to a new level with many sharing a common notion that there must be something extraordinary about whatever Nokia pulls from its bag today. And they were not disappointed!
Termed as the most innovative smartphone in the world, the Lumia 920 sports an LCD screen (the brightest one in the market) of 4.5 inches size and 32GB of internal memory. Plugging in a 2000 mAh capacity battery, it supports talk time up to 17 hours on 2G (10 hours on 3G) and about 400 hours on standby.
The 8.7 megapixel PureView camera coupled with a Carl Zeiss lens at the rear allows users to click snaps and shoot videos of the highest quality and later revel in the experience on a PureMotion HD+ display. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, this beauty has numerous impressive features which make it stand out among the present smartphones:
- Wire-less charging through a Fatboy recharge pillow
- Screenshot support
- Brightest Smartphone HD display ever
- Super sensitive touch allows users to operate the phone even with gloves on
- Integrated NFC
- Smart Shoot – Ability to remove unwanted people from a just clicked photograph
- Anti-blur functionality
- Excellent integration with apps like Nokia City Lens, Nokia Drive etc
Available in Black, White, Red, Gray and Yellow avatars, the Nokia Lumia 920 is covered up by a one-piece polycarbonate body with ceramic zirconium camera detailing and side keys.
