The special edition of Quantum Break is coming, but interestingly enough, this version of the game will be playable on Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers. Furthermore, it will also support DirectX 11, and the official name is Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition.

When this version of the game get’s released by Microsoft, and developer, Remedy, it will be available through Steam, which is why it will also support Windows 7 and Windows 8. The game will also be sold at retail, and should come with some exclusive goodies. Microsoft is aiming to sell Quantum Break: Timeless Edition for the cool price of $39.99, which is the price-tag the Windows Store version carries.

As with the Steam version of the game, this will include all of the latest updates to ensure you get the ideal Quantum Break experience right out of the box.

It would appear as if Microsoft might release its other titles outside of the Windows Store in the long run, or maybe, this has a lot to do with how the game performed. Quantum Break did not recieve mostly positive reviews, something that might have hampered sales, ultimately forcing Microsoft to release it on Steam.
Quantum Break: Timeless Edition should be available on Steam come September 14, 2016.
