Samsung today announced the launch of the special Gold Edition of their popular tablet, TabPro S. This new variant running Windows 10 has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage, double that of the standard version.
The color and the increased storage are the only additions to this special edition. Let’s take a look at all the other specifications of the tablet.
Samsung TabPro S Gold Edition specs
The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition features a 12-inch UHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The tablet is powered by the latest 6th-generation Intel Core M3 processor (clocked at 2.2 GHz) with an integrated GPU. It has 8 GB of RAM and comes with 256 GB of internal SSD support. The device runs on Windows 10 Home OS.
The TabPro S Gold comes with WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB 3.0 and GPS / GLONASS as connectivity options. It rocks a 5,200 mAh battery under the hood that provides upto 10.5 hours of video playback time. With enhanced fast charging features, the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S’s battery can charge in as little as 2.5 hours. It is now available in Gold color apart from the previous Black and White variants.
The Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition is now available in the United States starting at $999.99, at all leading offline and online retailers including their official website, Samsung.com. The earlier variant is currently available for $900, with an ongoing $100 discount offer.
With the recent debacle worldwide regarding the controversy around Samsung’s Galaxy Note7, it is unclear whether the reception to another ‘Galaxy’ product will be decent enough or not.
