The Windows Phone 7 Rockstar Award contest was started a few months back and was aimed at all the aspiring community of developer students all over the globe. There were a total of 131 entries which were designed either using Silverlight or XNA framework.
All the application were tested on emulators as well as Windows Phone 7 mobile devices.

Prizes :
- First Prize: $8,000 USD, a trip to the Worldwide Finals in Warsaw, Poland from July 3-8, 2010, and a Windows Phone for each team member.
- Second Prize: $4,000 USD and a Windows Phone for each team member
- Third Prize: $3,000 USD and a Windows Phone for each team member
Application idea or design :
Team Beastware : They came up with a Game developed in XNA game framework called “Droid”.This game leveraged the use of the accelerometer on the device.
Team Tselina : They presented a comic book reader in Silverlight, with rich graphics and great navigation features.
Hypo Team : They came up with a game written in XNA, again with appealing graphics, and with a nice interface.
