Bing released a completely re-imagined video search that allows one to quickly browse, discover and view videos for anew experience. This has been designed from the ground up to provide a streamlined navigation. The video previews are also larger and come with a higher resolution. Bing Search provides videos not only from YouTube, Hulu or Vimeo, but also from Dailymotion, Vevo, MTV, CBS, MSN and more and this can be filtered too according to your choice. The new Bing video search now has Pop-out Hover Preview, improved filters, video overlays for better navigation.
Let us check the various changes in detail:
Pop-out Hover Preview: The preview mode has been updated now as it previews by simply rolling over the cursor over the video thumbnail. More information is displayed now about a video to speed up your search. It also show favicons from the top sites, view counts, descriptions, and your search term is shown in bold in the titles – and has volume control in the preview video.
Improved Filters: The new search provides a powerful feature in filter improvements. The resolution filter now takes into account common video sizes such as 720 and 1080. The source filters are also more specific to the segment for which you are searching. To get the freshest or the oldest videos, you can sort them by Date.
Video Overlay and Improved Navigation: Once you click on the video you want to watch, a video overlay will let you browse to next video without leaving the collection as it provides a easy-to-click carousel at the bottom of the light box. It also provides a list of related searches in the right rail, so that you can easily narrow down your search.
