Microsoft today unfurled an infinite canvas across the Internet today, inviting artists of all ages to become digital da Vincis. Inspired by the new Touch Mouse technology, Microsoft has launched the Art of Mouse website.
The Art of Touch project offers anyone using a modern HTML5-capable browser like Internet Explorer, a digital palette and canvas to create, save and share digital art.
At the Art of Touch website, you can transform your mouse into a paintbrush; with a click, flick or swipe. You can paint your masterpiece, save it or share it with your friends on the social networking sites. You can also let people vote for your creations and enter the sweepstakes to win many attractive prizes.
You can can use 3 digital brushes and 6 different effects to create your designs. The brushes will produce a ribbon, smoke or streak across the canvas, and optional effects include starbursts, trees and splats.
While on the subject of Touch Mouse technology, personally speaking I enjoy using both my Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse and the Microsoft Touch Mouse. The Explorer Touch Mouse is the third mouse which uses this technology.
