Most of you may be aware that Google recently announced a change in their Privacy Policies, which now allowed Google to share its user data across all it products and services, without giving and option to opt out.
Taking advantage of this very unpopular step, Microsoft has released an advertisement campaign which seeks to remind people of the alternative services which it is offering.
The changes Google announced make it harder, not easier, for people to stay in control of their own information. We take a different approach – we work to keep you safe and secure online, to give you control over your data, and to offer you the choice of saving your information on your hard drive, in the cloud, or on both, says Microsoft.
The advertisement goes on to remind users about some great alternatives which Microsoft is offering like Hotmail, Bing Search, Office 365 and Internet Explorer.
Titled “Putting people first“, the ad goes on to point out how “Every data point Google collects and connects to you increases how valuable you are to an advertiser“.
