It’s finally some good news for Windows Phone users who love to use WhatsApp. The latest WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone has brought in the much-awaited camera icon that allows quick sharing of photos and videos from your gallery.
The update (version 2.16.208) adds a new Camera icon, allowing you to share a video or picture from the chats list directly, without entering each chat repeatedly. This means that you can now click a picture right from a WhatsApp chat and share it directly, without the effort of opening the camera app.
With this new icon, users will be able to share photos and videos with more than one contact at a time. Currently, users select one contact and add an image or video as an attachment. This new icon allows you to take a photo or shoot a video, select multiple contacts, send photos and videos to any number of contacts with a single tap.
While the update has been launched in the beta as of yet, it won’t be long before it comes to the final build and you can use the quick camera feature on your Windows 10 Mobile phone.
Previous to this new update, WhatsApp on Windows Phone recently saw the integration of Microsoft’s OneDrive as the default backup cloud service for all your messages, calls, photos, and videos.
WhatsApp has been on the aggressive in terms of fielding updates, rolling one out every few weeks.
