ComScore Inc., a global leader Internet analytics company today announced Bing at number two, in U.S. Search Engine Rankings for the month of December 2012. ComScore Inc. today released the monthly report on comScore qSearch analysis on US search market.
According to the report 69.1% searches were powered by Google and 25.6% of searches were carried by Bing in December 2012. The detailed report released by ComScore showed that Bing has edged Yahoo significantly. Yahoo has dropped 0.6 points from November 2012 whereas Bing increased its share of searched in December 2013.
The report says that Google is still the leading search engine in U.S marketplace. Google raised its market share to 67% in U.S searches in December 2012. Microsoft sites followed Google and raised its market with 16% followed by Yahoo sites with 12.1%, Ask Network with 3% and AOL with 1.8%.
ComScore recorded more than 17.6 billion explicit core searches in December 2013 with Google on top with 11.8 billion.
Microsoft Sites stood second with 2.9 billion searches and Yahoo Sites at third with 2.2 billion searches followed by Ask Network with 534 million searches and AOL Inc with 310 million searches.
