Sharing Facebook posts publicly has just got easier after the announcement of Facebook Embedded Posts feature. The much wanted feature will allow the social media giant users post Facebook posts on other Web pages easily and embed any public post from the social network onto their website/blog with just tap of the button.
Embed posts Facebook feature
It is assumed that the feature would help aid in the finding of new content, especially if your site sees many visitors per day. The embedded posts would not only show text, but pictures, videos and hashtags too. That said, not all Facebook posts are embeddable. Those posts whose privacy settings are set to public can only be embedded.
Embedded Posts let people add public posts from Facebook to their blog or web site. When embedded, posts can include pictures, videos, hashtags and other content. People can also like and share the post directly from the embed.” say, Facebook software engineers Dave Capra and Ray.
If my memory is in good state, I can say with confidence ‘Embedded Posts’ is only the latest in the long list of Twitter features that Facebook has imitated in every aspect. The last major feature being the hashtag.
