Facebook has introduced 3 new features for photos. It has got a higher resolution of images where we can store bigger pictures. It has gone from 720 pixels to 2048 pixels for photos, a new viewer for browsing photos and a new uploader with better tagging.
Facebook has rolled out this new high resolution images where we can upload images of high quality of upto 2048 pixels which is on the largest side.
To see the quality of these pictures, you can view National Geographic’s “Top-Rated Your Shot Photos (September)” album or Sports Illustrated’s “Football Across America” album. Download high-resolution photos by clicking the “Download” link.
It has also got a better photo viewer for browsing the photos simpler and faster. You can navigate your photos with out having to go to new page. You can browse the entire album with a new light box (the dark frame around your pictures) makes viewing photos a richer experience.
Finally it has made it easier to tag photos. When you upload photos, you will be able to tag multiple photos in the same album all at once, as well as tag photos of the same person with a lot less effort. The new photo uploader is more stable and reliable with the latest flash technology, especially when you have lot of photos to upload.
