HTC launches HTC HD7, the first Windows Phone 7 in India, at Rs 29990

HTC has officially launched its Windows Phone 7 HTC HD7 device in India along with service provider Bharti Airtel. Now consumers from India can enjoy the experience that is Windows Phone 7!

In a press release, Ajay Sharma, Country Head, HTC India said:

“Windows Phone 7 is an entirely fresh mobile experience, on which HTC is excited to be going big. We see tremendous customer opportunities with the integration of Microsoft’s most popular services.

The value Microsoft is bringing to mobile customers around the world sets a new benchmark for the industry and HTC is proud to be the first in bringing in the brand new Windows Phone 7 experience to India in partnership with Bharti Airtel.”

HTC HD7 comes along with a 4.3 WVGA TFT screen, 1GHz Qualcomm QSM 8250 Processor, a stand, 5 megapixel camera with Dual-LED flash and 720p video recording.

HTC HD7  is now available across India and has been priced at Rs 29,990 – or Euro 490; that’s a cool 109 Euro’s less than what I paid at Phone House, in Paris, around a month back!

I really wished the Indian Telecom companies could follow the contract based package like the US and Aussies. Thus we will get the phone a lot cheaper at the cost of slightly high monthly plans.

I am addict of windows based mobile OS. Expecting Windows Phone 7 soon (“without Airtel”)
