Microsoft Corp. recently partnered with the nonprofit online learning initiative EdX to offer online development courses. Microsoft is reportedly the first corporate partner of EdX to offer Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). The enrollment for these online courses on edX start today March 11, and the courses will begin sometime in the end of this month.

Conducted by the leading Microsoft experts, these Massive Open Online Courses will be focused on the core development skills providing the expertise in building new applications, Azure services and Windows Phone based service.
Other courses included in MOOCs will be introduction to TypeScript, web development framework, c#, programming language for .NET, cloud computing, Introduction to Office 365 APIs, data platforms, Querying with Transact SQL, introduction to Bootstrap and Windows PowerShell Fundamentals.
