Microsoft is working on and plans to release a new version of Microsoft Security Essentials, its free antivirus offering for Windows users, and is also looking for beta testers to help test this product.
The new version is expected to introduce some new features.
- The new version of Microsoft Security Essentials will have a new protection engine which will offer enhanced detection and cleanup capabilities, reports Microsoft.
- It will offer enhanced protection through automatic malware remediation and clean high-impact malware infections automatically, with no required user interaction.
- It will also contain many performance improvements to make sure that your Windows PC performance isn’t negatively impacted.
- Expect to see a simplified and an easier-to-use UI.
