Last year in April, Microsoft announced that Windows 10 22H2 will be the last version of Windows 10. Now, Microsoft is showing full-screen ads about the end of support to Windows 10 and asking users to upgrade to Windows 11 or get a compatible PC to upgrade to Windows 11.
Microsoft starts showing Windows 10 End of Support notifications
In April 2023, Microsoft made it clear in its announcement that the Windows 10 22H2 version will be the final version of Windows 10. Windows 10 will reach its end of support on October 14, 2025. After October 2025, users will have to settle with the final version of Windows 10 without any updates or must upgrade to Windows 11.
Microsoft is now showing full-screen ads on Windows 10 PCs saying that Windows 10 end of support is approaching. The ad says the following:
A new journey with Windows
We want to thank you for your loyalty as a Windows 10 customer. As end of support for Windows 10 approaches, we’re here to support you on your PC journey.
Your PC is not eligible to upgrade to Windows 11, but it will continue to receive Windows 10 fixes and security updates until support ends on October 14, 2025.

The message is followed by two buttons saying Learn about end of support, which gives all the information about end of support to Windows 10, upon clicking on it. The second button says Why Windows 11. clicking upon which you can know all about Windows 11 and its features and how it is better than Windows 10. Users do not get any option to stop ads from showing up again. Instead, users can click on Remind me later or Learn more.
There is still more than a year until Windows 10 ends support. Microsoft has been actively pushing Windows 11 to users and making them upgrade.
